This historic rehabilitation restored and converted the 1897 Watkins School into award winning affordable housing using the federal rehabilitation tax credits. The project also included listing the school on the National Register of Historic Places.

Lyssa Papazian holds an MS in Historic Preservation, meets the National Park Service’s qualification standards, and is on regional pre-qualified lists of historic preservation consultants. Her firm specializes in federal and state tax credits for historic rehabilitation, preservation planning, project development, funding, regulation, documentation, and architectural history. She has been working professionally in the field for the past 33 years and has served municipal, non-profit, institutional, and private clients in VT and NH since 1998. She has listed 28 properties on the National Register; secured historic tax credits for 37 properties; stewarded dozens of projects through the state and federal regulatory process, and led community development projects using preservation for revitalization.
