McIndoe Falls Academy, Barnet

The 1853 McIndoe Academy sits at the center of the village of McIndoe Falls in the town of Barnet. It served as the local high school until 1969 and has been maintained by the non-profit Academy Board of Trustees. The Academy now serves as a community center, library, and is home to the town’s post office. With the help of a 1772 grant in 2021, the Trustees completed structural stabilization work in the attic and basement. The current request will support the replacement of the metal roof and repair the cupola.

1772 Grant Funds Awarded: $10,000
