Fourteen Vermont Projects Awarded Grants from the 1772 Foundation
The 1772 Foundation, partnering for a fifth year with the Preservation Trust of Vermont, awarded historic preservation matching grants totaling $125,000 to fourteen private nonprofit organizations maintaining historic sites in Vermont. Grants are awarded for exterior repair and restoration work for walls, chimneys, porches, roofs, windows, foundations, sills, masonry and more.
“The Preservation Trust of Vermont is deeply thankful for the wonderful support of The 1772 Foundation,” says President Ben Doyle. “Whether used for painting, fire safety improvements, or window restoration, this critical funding will help preserve and revitalize buildings that Vermonters love, ensuring that the future of our villages and downtowns remains bright. “
The 1772 Foundation works to ensure the safe passage of our historic buildings and farmland to future generations. More information about the 1772 Foundation may be found at www.1772foundation.org.
