30 Conant Square, Rutland

30 Conant Square was built in 1820 by John Conant, who arrived in Brandon in 1793 and remained the Town’s leading citizen until his death in 1856. The building was acquired by the Housing Trust of Rutland County in 2006 and underwent a major rehabilitation, including a sensitive addition off the rear elevation. Located in the heart of downtown, the building has nineteen units that house a mixture of senior citizens and people with disabilities. Funds will support exterior repairs and repainting.
