The Preservation Trust of Vermont, with the generous support of the Johnson Family Foundation, established the Essential Character and Service Grant Program, which funds projects that combine the use of historic buildings with the provision of services that meet essential human needs in the areas of food security, childcare, health and community engagement in Poultney and Rutland County. Work supported through the program includes roof repair or replacement, structural repairs, window restoration, facade improvements, and more.Â
